1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Aide, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Nature of Service (Medical Disclaimer)

CRITICAL: Aide is a support and organization tool only.

  • Not a Medical Device: Aide is NOT a medical, life-saving, or emergency response system.
  • No Emergency Services: The SOS feature sends a push notification to your designated Caregiver ONLY. It DOES NOT contact 100, 112, or any emergency medical services.
  • User Responsibility: In a life-threatening situation, users must contact local emergency services directly.

3. Accuracy of Information

  • Medication: Caregivers are solely responsible for the accuracy of medication names and timings entered. Aide does not verify medical dosages.
  • Logs: We rely on the Elder to manually log their medication. Aide cannot verify if the medicine was actually consumed.

4. Dependency on Technology

The functionality of Aide (SOS, Safe Zone, Battery Tracking) depends entirely on:

  • The device being powered on and charged.
  • An active and stable Internet connection (Mobile Data or Wi-Fi).
  • GPS services being enabled on the Elder's device.

We are not liable for any failure to notify a Caregiver due to network outages, device failure, or disabled location permissions.

5. Intellectual Property

Aide is the copyrighted work of Anish Gurusankar, Anuja Pandey, and the iOS Development Centre - SRMIST. All rights reserved.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers of Aide shall not be liable for any injury, health complications, or death resulting from:

  • Failure of a notification to reach a Caregiver.
  • Inaccurate medication scheduling by a user.
  • An Elder leaving a Safe Zone without a notification being triggered.
  • Technical glitches or data inaccuracies.
